A father from South Liverpool is wishing his missing daughter a ‘Happy 18th Birthday’, after not seeing her for over 10 years. Ibrahim Coskuncay, 38, is issuing a heartfelt message to his daughter, Ayse Rose McKenzie, who turned 18 on 21st April 2025.
Ibrahim is one of the popular and well respected Coskuncay brothers, owners of some of Liverpool’s most loved and highest rated restaurants — such as Al Dente and now Casa Rima in Halewood. He lives in South Liverpool with his wife and two children, Cemal and Muhammed, and is a proud family man.

However, one thing has been sadly missing from his life. Before moving to Liverpool, Ibrahim had a daughter with his ex-wife, named Ayse. Just two months after she was born, the pair split and the mother took her away from Ibrahim — leaving him completely in the dark.

After years of searching, he managed to see her one more time in court, yet despite legally being able to see her, the mother disappeared with her again — and since then he has never seen her again. Now, some 10 years later, Ibrahim is sending out a plea to anyone who might know her to wish her a Happy 18th Birthday — or at least hoping that she might one day read this. Ibrahim said:
“To my beloved daughter, Ayse Rose McKenzie. Not a day goes by that I don’t think of you. On your 18th birthday, I want you to know how deeply you are loved and missed. Your brothers, Cemal Coskuncay and Muhammed Emin Coskuncay, and I always keep you in our hearts.“
“We have never stopped looking for you, never stopped hoping, and never stopped loving you. No matter the distance or time apart, you are and always will be a part of us. I dream of the day we can reunite, celebrate life’s precious moments together, and make up for lost time.”
“Wherever you are, I hope you feel the love we are sending your way. With all my love and longing,”
