BURNS NIGHT CELEBRATION COMING TO WALLASEY TOWN HALL!

Wallasey Town Hall will play host to an incredible Burns Night celebration on Friday 23rd January 2026, as an evening of Scottish culture, music and fine food will take place order to raise money for local charities.

Running from 7pm until midnight, the event promises an authentic and memorable celebration of Scotland’s national poet, Robert Burns. Guests will be immersed in the rich heritage of Burns Night, with a programme that combines ceremonial tradition, lively entertainment and a classic Scottish supper.

The evening will open with a traditional menu beginning with Scotch broth, followed by a choice of haggis, chicken or vegetarian main course, served with neeps and tatties. Dessert will be cranachan, accompanied by the customary dram of whisky to toast the Bard.

Music and ceremony will play a central role in the evening. The Pipe Major of the Wirral Pipe Band will provide the stirring sound of the bagpipes, while Scottish country dancing will be called by the Royal Scottish Country Dancing Society, inviting guests to enjoy and participate in this lively tradition. A Guard of Honour will add further pageantry to the occasion.

Guests are encouraged to dress for the occasion, with traditional Scottish dress, formal wear or lounge suits all welcomed. The Burns Night celebration is taking place in order to raise funds for local, volunteer-led charities across the borough.

This Burns Night at Wallasey Town Hall promises an evening of warmth, tradition, and community spirit, celebrating Scottish culture while supporting worthy local causes. Tickets are priced at £40, with payment available via Ticket Tailor.
