Music, family fun and fundraising will take centre stage at Eastham Ferry this August Bank Holiday weekend as the legendary Glastonferry Festival makes its return.
Taking place on Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th August, the free-to-attend festival will once again bring together top local artists and bands for two packed days of live music, all while raising money for Claire House Children’s Hospice. The festival will run from 12pm until 7pm on both days, with performances taking place at Eastham Ferry Hotel.
There will be plenty on offer beyond the live music, making it a great day out for the whole family. Children’s entertainment will be available on both Saturday and Sunday, including a magician, face painting and games. Food and drink will also be available to purchase from the venues throughout the weekend, so visitors can settle in and enjoy an afternoon of music and entertainment by the waterfront.
Glastonferry has become a fantastic opportunity for the community to get together over the Bank Holiday weekend, enjoy some of the best musical talent the region has to offer and support a very worthy cause at the same time. A staple of the local calendar, this legendary charity music festival is once again organised by Chris Locke, who has run the event for many years.
Fundraising is an integral part of the weekend, with a big charity raffle among the attractions and all funds raised through the event going to Claire House, helping the charity continue its vital work supporting seriously and terminally ill children and their families. Whilst it’s a completely free to attend event, festival-goers and encouraged to support the charity.
Organiser Chris Locke said: “We had a fantastic event last year and we’re excited to be bringing it back once again in 2026. We have a very special line up with top, top artists on the bill. The festival has gone from strength to strength since we started it back in 2011 and we’ve raised tens of thousands of pounds for Claire House — we’re expecting another incredible event again this year!”
With 16 local acts, two days of live entertainment, activities for children and a great cause at its heart, Glastonferry promises to bring a festival atmosphere back to Eastham Ferry for the August Bank Holiday weekend. The festival is free to attend and people can claim free tickets via Eventbrite.
