Multi-award winning Hungarian playwright, Zsolt Pozsgai, is bringing his acclaimed comedy Liselotte in May (in English) to Liverpool for one night only! On Wednesday 1st November from 7.30pm, The Capstone Theatre will play host to his ‘bittersweet absurd comedy’ — by appointment of the Hungarian Consulate.

The hysterical yet poignant production has wowed audiences globally, with most recent praise at Camden Fringe Festival. Such is its impact on audiences, playwright Zsolt Pozsgai has received multiple awards such as the European Drama Award and the Hungarian Playwright’s Competition three times.

Liselotte in May is a bittersweet absurd comedy about a gentle, lonely heart — following the story of a cursed woman in her thirties who is so desperately trying to find love. At times hilarious yet at times tragic, the production takes the audience on an emotional rollercoaster through the life of a woman craving love.
The Liverpool performance is being commissioned by the Hungarian Consulate, who are offering the audience a glass of exquisite Hungarian wine and refreshments after the show. It will be the first time the legendary production has been shown in Liverpool, setting the scene for a momentous occasion.
