Having recently been restored to its former glory after years of neglect, Eastham Ferry Hotel is now a majestic gastropub, eatery and events venue — with impeccable decor and character. Whilst the dining and private hire have been a huge draw, the new garden with breathtaking views over the Mersey is also attracting visitors from far and wide.

Perfect for pints in the sun or al fresco dining, the garden is a beautiful and relaxing spot to take in the views over the water after a walk through Eastham woods. The garden is also being utilised for community events and on Sunday 6th April, Eastham Ferry Hotel’s first ‘Family Fun Day’ took place — featuring a bbq, bouncy castle and lots of games for children, whilst raising money for charity.

There are more fun events coming up too — with a big Easter Egg Hunt on Easter Saturday, Family Fun Day events on both Bank Holiday Sundays in May and Charity Fun Day events on the last Sundays in June and July. August Bank Holiday weekend will see the much anticipated return of ‘Glastonferry’ — an epic mini music festival that was loved by many before the venue initially closed its doors.

People have been coming from far and wide to visit, whether that be a coffee after a dog walk, breakfast, lunch, dinner, one of our events or for a private function, and now it’s the garden that’s getting attracting people too.”

She continued: “The garden was overrun and LHL Gardening Services have worked hard for us to open it — people have been loving sitting out there in the sun whilst enjoying the views. Our first Family Fun Day was a great success and it was so lovely to see people coming together and having a great time. We’re looking forward to a fantastic summer ahead — let’s just hope the good weather continues!”
