A new restaurant has opened in Moreton and it’s fast becoming a huge hit — with multiple 5 star reviews after just three weeks of opening! Elite Mediterranean BBQ & Cocktail Bar offers gorgeous Turkish and Mediterranean cuisine, quality cocktails and fine wine in a sumptuous setting and it’s already the talk of the Wirral town.

What’s Elite about?
Situated on Hoylake Road just up from Moreton Cross and open Tues-Sun, Elite is a family run independent that’s all about the best quality food and drink and super friendly service. Spearheaded by Head Chef Arif, his brother Kemal (Pedro) and his son Deniz, the Turkish family have years of hospitality experience and are extremely passionate about everything they do.
The new restaurant and cocktail bar was subject to a huge five month renovation and the decor is incredible — with cosy lighting, classy furnishing and beautiful artwork from Kemal who is also an art teacher and mural artist. From the moment you step through the door you’ll have a warm welcome and you’ll leave as firm friends of the family!

What’s on the menu?
Elite has an extensive food menu featuring cold and warm mezes, traditional mains, seafood, salads, vegetarian and gluten free options, pizzas, gourmet burgers and more. Drinks wise, you’ll find fine international wines and creative cocktails — perfect to enjoy during a full dining experience or even just for a few evening drinks.
Elite has a lunch menu served from 12-4pm and then a main menu served from 4pm until late and there’s something for everyone one the varied menus. With a wide range of Turkish and Mediterranean dishes, there’s plenty of choice and they use the finest ingredients — from premium butchers to Turkish bakeries. Our visit….
Our Editor Justin visited on a Tuesday night and WOW what an experience! To start he had a cold Cacik meze and a hot King Prawns meze, accompanied by gorgeous Turkish bread from their specialist bakery. For the main, the choice was the extremely popular Mixed Grill — a selection of succulent meats cooked to perfection.
The hospitality and atmosphere at Elite is such that you can quite easily stay all evening — and that he did — enjoying pints of Turkish Efes beer and one of Pedro’s masterful cocktails, the Elite Special. The starters and main were more than enough (just ask anyone who’s had a Mixed Grill) but if you’re still feeling peckish their desserts are heavenly!
