About BlackFest

Founded in 2018, BlackFest is a Liverpool based non profit organisation that promotes Black Arts and educates, empowers and inspires — bridging the diversity gap in the arts within the Liverpool region and beyond. Through events, the annual festival and ongoing outreach projects and campaigns, BlackFest is a key component of cultural diversity in the North West.

Creative Producer

Hours: 40 hours per week

Pay: £494 per week (ITC rate)

Description: This role covers the day to day running and delivery of projects, including BlackFest’s annual festival. Covering community projects, development of new work, artist management, project management and ensuring all campaigns are delivered on time, the role requires a hands on, driven individual with experience in overseeing and managing all aspects of a similar organisation.

Project Manager x 3

Hours: 2 hours per day for 2 days per week

Pay: £15 p/h x 4 hours per week = £60 p/w

Description: Project Manager roles are available to pro-active and passionate individuals to lead on the co-ordination and delivery of three unique projects. Applicants will have experience in working with youths, disabled people or minorities and will have experience in overseeing projects and making them happen, ideally within the arts.

The charity is recruiting for part time project managers to help co-ordinate and manage artistic projects about 1) Self Love 2) Origins of House 3) Hip Hop Dance For All. The projects last for 5 months and involve working with participants to ensure they complete the workshops effectively and working with partners to ensure they are delivered on time and within budget.

Workshop Facilitators

Description: BlackFest has opportunities for paid placements within community projects in the Liverpool region. Anyone who is proficient in delivering workshops in music, creative writing, spoken word and drama is encouraged to apply.
