After losing all her social media two weeks before a prestigious music competition, faith-driven singer, songwriter and rapper SEV7N won the Primal Live music competition with her powerfully emotional songs gaining her the most votes and securing her win.

During the contest, she performed an original song ‘Wasted Time’ which reflects the time she spent searching for a meaning and purpose to her life before finally finding solace in her connection to God. A connection which now lines each of her carefully crafted lyrics, offering reassurance to anyone going through a tough patch in their life.

After riding the many ups and downs in her own life, SEV7N finally found security and shelter in the word of God which now fuels her stirring music from which, just listening to a single song on her Instagram platform (@its7onthemic) will fill the listener with the hope and courage she preaches through her diverse, thoughtfully curated songs.

“The competition itself had an amazingly supportive atmosphere,” says SEV7N. “Everyone was so welcoming and I was able to make so many new friends despite my own pre-performance anxiety”. This atmosphere underpins so much of SEV7N’s message as she strives to spread joy and friendship among her listeners which must clearly have been recognised in the votes that secured her win.

After doing her first ever live performance just last year, SEV7N took on this newest opportunity in an effort to get her music and message into the community despite being filled with anxiety before the final performances. These nerves, however, did not impinge on her incredible performance and instead spurred her on to win this incredible competition.
After ‘Wasted Time’ secured her a place in the final of the competition, she went on to perform a Christian remix of the song ‘No Diggity’, replacing certain lyrics with her own inspirational message, allowing her to reach out to those in the audience, offering them her own powerful message of faith and courage along with a sense of security in Christianity.

She summarised: “As long as I can shine the light as brightly as possible, that’s enough for me”. A clear message for all of us in our lives as we look for purpose and a source of support in the world around us.
