Abigail said: “It’s a delight to be hosting this amazing free event at such a majestic cathedral in a beautiful, historic city. We have prepared a wonderfully varied programme, including female-only arrangements from ‘Viva Ladies Chorus.’ It excites me to be coming to this warm, receptive city for the Classical Chorus project and we’re looking forward to blowing the audience away.”

She continued: “The Classical Chorus concerts are always very special and the performances give people goosebumps. I’m looking forward to giving the people of Chester an evening to remember. With so many voices coming together to recreate nostalgic songs, it will be a wonderful experience, and it’s FREE!”

Classical Chorus is a non-auditioned choir based in St. Albans Hertfordshire, exploring singing technique, performance skills, ear training and score reading in an encouraging atmosphere. Performance and social opportunities include charity concerts, European tours and theatre trips — with performances in many prestigious locations including Verona Cathedral, Trafalgar Square and Saint Mark’s Basilica, Venice.

Abigail said: “It’s a pleasure and honour to bring people together and empower them through the art of classical singing. There have been so many memories over the years such as hosting a concert at Shendish Manor with world renowned operatic tenor, Alexander James Edwards, where we performed Nessun Dorma. It’s also wonderful to give people the gift of music for free, as we’re doing with this show.”
