Speaking about the event, organisers Estelle Maher and Lisa Harper expressed their gratitude for the incredible support shown by attendees, prize donors and everyone who contributed to making the afternoon such a success. Estelle herself has been through a battle with breast cancer, so understands first hand the importance of spreading awareness.

“We wanted to create something joyful and meaningful — a space for women to connect while raising funds for a charity doing life-saving work,” they said. “To raise over £2,000 is amazing, and we’re so grateful to everyone who made it possible. It was emotional but it was an absolute triumph for the power of sisterhood and fundraising.”

Estelle also mentioned the importance of checking for the signs early, stating: “Having been on this journey myself, I can’t state enough the importance of checking yourself — both women and men. It is vital that you check for any lumps or anomalies on a regular basis and go and get seen straight away — early intervention is key.”

Dr. Kate Blundell, Headline Sponsor through her Renew Facial Aesthetics & Skincare business, said: “It was an incredible afternoon — great fun and for a great cause. To have raised over £2,000 for breast cancer in a single afternoon is such a fine achievement by us all! As someone who lost my mother to breast cancer, it was very emotional but I also feel very proud.”
