A hilarious night of comedy is coming to Heath Hall in Allerton on Friday 26th August in aid of Liverpool Disabled Supporters Association. The night will see two multi award winning comedians perform alongside a top musician from 7pm — with tickets just £15 including a meal.

Representing fantastic value and for a great cause, the charity evening will feature legendary local comedian Gary Skyner — a favourite of Jonathan Ross and Ricky Tomlinson who was voted Best Merseyside Comedian three years running. A disability advocate and motivational speaker, Gary is a Thalidomide who often jokes about his deformed arms and hands in his sketches — using comedy to raise the issues of disabilities and stigmas.

The hilarious local comedian will be joined by Our Trace, the YouTube sensation who went viral with over 8 million views globally. The Britain’s Got Talent star, known as ‘the funny woman in the posh frock’, is quite simply outrageous and has the audience in tears of laughter during every show.

These two titans of the comedy circuit will be joined by top local musician, Gary Leighton — the supremely talented local multi-instrumentalist who has worked with the likes of The Byrds, The Las, The Bay City Rollers and Ken Dodd. Organiser and performer Gary Skyner said: “I was one of the first born Thalidomides in the UK and was bullied at school so I know all about disability issues. I used comedy to combat it, eventually becoming a comedian, and I continue to use comedy to raise the important issues of disability stigmas — as well as giving talks as a disability advocate and motivational speaker.”
He continued: “Putting on charity nights like these is very important to me and they are always very special — giving people a top night of laughter and entertainment whilst raising money for a great cause. In this case it’s Liverpool Disabled Supporters Association who do great things to help get disabled people out of the house and to matches.”

Liverpool Disabled Supporters Association was founded in 2003 and is the voice of disabled Liverpool supporters. The LDSA addresses issues relating to stadium access, pitch view, parking, disabled toilets, access to retail outlets and any other matters relating to facilities for disabled people — ensuring they have an enjoyable matchday experience.
