The family has developed a great reputation for going way above and beyond for bereaved families, whilst keeping costs to a minimum. One of the things they offer is a ‘memory tree’ at their Liscard premises — with a personal bauble dedicated to each and every loved one they look after — and they provide families with Forgetmenot seeds.

One of the services they also offer is a bespoke jewellery service where Alex personally handcrafts ashes into beautiful personalised pieces. The annual Memorial Mass is a particularly beautiful touch — a free event in which families are invited to come together to remember those who have passed away.

Lorraine said: “This year’s Memorial Mass is taking place at St. Alban’s Church in Wallasey on Saturday 9th December from 12 noon. This is followed by refreshments at St. Alban’s Church Hall from 1pm and we also livestream the event for those who cannot attend. They are always very emotional and powerful events and always a beautiful tribute to those who have passed.”

She continued: “For us, this is exactly why we do what we do. We always aim to go above and beyond, to go the extra mile. We want to be much more than just a funeral directors — we are a family who are here to support you and your family. Why should our care just stop at the funeral? The Memorial Mass is a continuation of our love and support for families during their loss.”

Lorraine summarised: “It’s been an honour to help so many people during the past 5 years. For us, it’s far more than just a service — it’s helping people during their darkest hour, being part of the grieving process and being a part of someone’s transition from life to death. It’s great to be recognised with all the awards but it’s not why we do what we do — we do it because we genuinely care.”
