After a successful career in property and tech, Martyn has turned his attention to something close to everyone’s hearts – food. With support from his wife Gemma and a growing team, Fuudle is about to launch a mobile app that turns the food you already have at home into delicious recipes, while also helping users track their shopping spend and reduce waste.

Martyn said: “The idea for Fuudle came from our own kitchen. We’d often find ourselves staring into the fridge wondering what we could make without nipping out to the shops or just ordering take away. Fuudle was born from that everyday frustration. It’s smart, it’s simple, and it’s designed to help people get the most out of what they’ve already got.”

The app’s first version is already complete and being tested. It lets users store recipes, plan meals, and keep tabs on their food budget. But the next bit is where things get exciting. Fuudle is adding AI-powered features that allow you to scan ingredients with your phone and get instant meal suggestions. It’s all due to go live this summer on both Apple and Android devices.

But it’s not just about tech. Fuudle has already caught the eye of schools and universities, with the University of Reading, Sandwell College, and Holy Family Catholic Multi Academy Trust all keen to bring the app into their classrooms. Whether it’s helping adult learners with budgeting, supporting international students to cook with local ingredients, or showing school kids how tech can make cooking more fun – Fuudle is finding its place in education too.

“It’s been amazing to see how well it’s been received,” says Martyn. “What started in our kitchen in New Brighton is now being talked about in classrooms across the country.” Behind the friendly name and clean design is a serious mission – to help families save money, eat better, and waste less food. With early investment secured, a solid plan for growth, and big ambitions, Fuudle is well on its way to becoming one of the region’s standout tech success stories.

So what’s next for Martyn and the team? “We’re keeping our feet on the ground,” he says. “We just want to help as many people as possible enjoy cooking again, save a few quid on the weekly shop, and feel better about the food they eat. If Fuudle can do that, I’ll be made up.”
