Owner of Love Pilates Wirral, Pauline Caswell, is heading to the Isle of Man for a groundbreaking Guinness World Record attempt on Sunday 19th July. Having just celebrated 10 years of Love Pilates, Pauline travels to the Isle of Man to instruct taster Pilates classes in the historical setting of Knockaloe Farm before the world record attempt takes place at 2pm in the afternoon. The Isle of Man will attempt to break the world record for the largest single Pilates class, with organisers aiming to bring thousands of people together for what is being described as a global “Pilates homecoming”.

The world record attempt itself is a simple, 30-minute standing Pilates class, led by leading instructors and designed to be fully inclusive and accessible. Organised by Ramsey Crookall and 34Moves, and supported by Visit Isle of Man, the event is open to all ages and abilities. No prior Pilates experience is needed, making it easy for anyone to get involved and be part of history.
The event will take place at Knockaloe, where Joseph Pilates began developing the principles that would go on to shape a movement now practised by millions worldwide. Hosting the world record attempt at this historic location offers a rare opportunity for locals and visitors alike to reconnect with that story and celebrate the Island’s influence on global wellness.

Pauline Caswell, a highly experienced Pilates instructor with a strong background in education, is representing the Wirral with her Love Pilates brand. Through Love Pilates, she offers many classes from the highly popular Reformer Pilates, to the classic Mat Pilates and also hosts Pilates retreats in the UK and abroad.
Pauline said: “I’m excited and honoured to be part of this groundbreaking event. I have a strong connection to the Isle of Man as I moved there in 1987 and lived there for a number of years. I had both of my sons during my time there. My connection to the island continues to remain strong, with friends still living there, and it’s a full circle moment to be visiting there to take part in this historic event.”

The previous number for the attempt was 3,486 people and in this new attempt the number will hopefully be raised to around 5,000 people, all taking part in a 20-30 minute Pilates class with Guinness World Record officials in attendance to observe the attempt. Those taking part will also be in with a chance of winning £1,000 worth of Isle Of Man holiday vouchers.

The Island’s connection to Pilates is unique, and this event brings that heritage to life in a way that is inclusive, inspiring and enjoyable for everyone — a true reflection of our Extraordinary Isle and its strength in wellbeing, community and connection.”
She continued: “With the current world record standing at 3,486 participants, we would encourage as many people as possible to get involved, not only to help us bring that record home to the Isle of Man, but to enjoy a brilliant day of wellness and celebration, with the added opportunity to be in with a chance of winning £1,000 by taking part.”
