Organiser Justin Hopper, of local magazine, marketing and PR company La Vida Liverpool, said: “I’m absolutely thrilled with how this concept has grown organically — attracting some big names and truly fantastic authors. In a world of cold online purchases and big corporate middle men, it’s a wonderful opportunity to meet authors in person and buy from them directly.”

Justin continued: “These latest additions, Stan Boardman, Rusty Firmin and Pauline Fleming, are all legends in their own right, and they join an impressive line up for this debut event. Hundreds of tickets have been purchased and I have a waiting list for authors who want to be involved, so it looks like this will be the first of many events — I’m already planning a Christmas edition later this year. I’m really excited!”
