After more than four decades dedicated to Ju-Jitsu, Sue King has become one of the most respected figures in martial arts in the region. Recently awarded her prestigious 8th Degree Black Belt, Sue’s career has been defined not only by technical excellence but by perseverance, discipline and unwavering commitment to helping others.
Founder of the Muga Mushin Ryu Ju-Jitsu school in Norris Green, Sue has trained thousands of children and adults and has served as the Regional Officer with UKBF in Liverpool. In addition to her incredible work on a local level, she has been acting as an ambassador for the sport by delivering talks and seminars both in the UK and internationally — inspiring people with her story whilst promoting the sport.

The evening is titled The Battle Within and will unfold in two thought-provoking parts, combining conversation, storytelling and life lessons forged through personal adversity. Attendees can expect a heartfelt exploration of strength, reflection and finding the will to move forward during life’s toughest moments.
Alongside Sue’s talks, guests will enjoy live entertainment including pipers, drummers, a live singer and DJ, a quality buffet and the opportunity to meet Sue personally during a photo and signing session of her new book. There will also be an audience Q&A, giving attendees the chance to hear more about Sue’s remarkable journey and philosophy.
