The award winning play, Find Me, is coming to Liverpool’s Hope Street Theatre from Thursday 9th June through until Saturday 11th June 2022, with each of the three shows starting at 7.30pm. The powerful production about the true story of Verity Taylor, a young girl with mental health issues who was sent to Broadmoor maximum security hospital, is a must for theatre enthusiasts.

The original production was written in 1976 (set around the same time) by Olwen Wymark — telling the compelling true story of Verity Taylor — a young girl who couldn’t be diagnosed for a mental condition. She was sent to the geriatric unit of a mental asylum where she set fire to a chair and was subsequently condemned to Broadmoor — a harsh and tragic punishment.

The tense, psychological and very moving drama is being produced by Keyhole Theatre Company — after it won an award at the Leverhulme Drama Festival recently. The local grass roots theatre group that has graced Edinburgh Fringe Festival, led by legendary local theatre Director Ann Bates, has put on many successful plays during the past 15 years — with this their latest award winning production.
