The incredibly talented Dorothy Bird is coming to the downstairs of The Everyman Theatre on Thursday 24th March 2022. The Liverpool and Berlin based singer-songwriter, highly regarded by the likes of BBC 6 Music and BBC Introducing, will be performing some of her spine-tingling tracks to an intimate audience courtesy of Mellowtone.

Influenced by Björk and Portishead as much as Thom Yorke and Goldfrapp, she is an art-pop songwriter who already has two solo EPs to her name which mix the acoustic with layers of electronica. Her recent work includes the singles ‘Kaleidoscope’ and ‘Forgot’. They lead up to the release of the full-length album ‘Belonging’ for Klee Music at the end of June 2022.

On the night Dorothy, performing on piano & synths, will be joined on stage by Jon Lawton on guitar and Ryan Mallows on drums. Support on the night comes in the form of Blue Saint and DJ Jonnie O’Hare, with music in The Everyman basement starting from 7.30pm — in what promises to be a very special gig indeed.
The night is being put on by Mellowtone, who’s David McTague said: “We first worked with The Everyman way back in 2004, so it’s wonderful to be heading back to their subterranean environs for a couple of shows this year. We’re delighted to welcome Dorothy Bird and Blue Saint for the first of these dates.”
