That said, there are also success stories out there and one of them is Natalie Speed who turned her lockdown depression into a highly successful crystals and holistic therapy business.

In October 2020, Natalie’s high pressure job in social care had intensified due to the pandemic and on top of this she had family trauma. Facing stress and depression, she turned to her crystals for comfort — holding onto them for their healing powers and doing daily exercises with them such as breathwork, meditation and intention setting.

Realising how much the crystal healing helped her through these dark times, Natalie began collecting crystals and soon amassed a collection of over 3,000 from all over the world — eventually spreading the word and selling them online. Her online crystal business grew rapidly and the rest, as they say, is history.

Natalie explained: “For a number of personal reasons, the pandemic and lockdowns were particularly difficult for me. I’d pretty much hit rock bottom. I’ve always had a connection with crystals but I truly discovered their powers during this time — the calming energy they give off when holding them and doing daily practices with them basically saved me from going under.”

Realising the potential of her newly founded online crystal business, Natalie set out to create a magical crystal shop and holistic therapy hub in Liscard. She became qualified in crystal healing, quantum holographic echo healing and reiki and brought on board Kylie Cosgrove — a top therapist who offers a wide range of massage, reflexology, facials and other treatments.

In July 2021, Majestic Crystals & Creations opened its doors — a gorgeous boutique shop with a calming treatment room — and ever since it’s been booming. With all sorts of crystals from £1 to £1,500 — from crystal clocks to jewellery — and a wide range of relaxing treatments, people have felt transformed after visiting.

Natalie said: “What started as a crystal collection to help me through really dark times has manifested into a business that has surpassed all my expectations. The feedback has been amazing and people leave here feeling like a new person — whether they buy crystals, have crystal healing, a treatment or even just come in for a chat. The door is open to everyone.”
She continued: “We have some really exciting plans for next year including kids and adults crystal workshops and courses in crystal healing and holistic therapies. Crystals have changed my life and it’s my mission to show as many people as possible their healing powers — especially when you combine them with daily practises. Having Kylie here too is amazing — she really is a miracle therapist and healer.”
