Through Upbeat Travel, Chris offers luxury VIP holidays and travel experiences from £1,000 to £150,000 in locations such as Bora Bora, Bali, Dubai, Santorini, Miami and Las Vegas. As wide ranging as proposal set ups, honeymoon suites in Maldives, safaris in Africa, weddings in Vegas and stag/hen group bookings with VIP beach clubs and yachts, Chris makes people’s holiday dreams become a reality.

This dream job has also given Chris the chance to enjoy luxury holidays himself, although it was unimaginable back in 2015. A college and apprenticeship drop out with poor GCSEs, he spent much of his life as a young adult in 9-5 office jobs living for the weekend in the same repetitive cycle. That is, until he visited Vegas with the lads and an old school friend put him in touch with Joel Gilbert.

Chris explained: “I wasn’t going anywhere in life to be honest. I settled for a boring office job and was just going through the motions really, going out at the weekend as you do. When I posted on socials that I was going to Vegas, an old school friend Melissa put me in touch with Joel who was running a VIP concierge company over there called Upbeat Vegas.”
He continued: “Joel hooked us up with VIP experiences and access to all the best clubs. I cheekily asked him how he ended up doing such a dream job and asked if I could have a job with him — a few months later I was over there with him and the rest is history. I spent 5 years looking after tourists and celebrities with Joel in Las Vegas, before having to come back due to Covid, and that’s when we set up Upbeat Travel.”

Chris said: “If you’d have told me I’d be living the dream like this when I left school I’d have said you were crazy! I was a drop out with no aspirations. Now I look at my life and I’ve flown over the Grand Canyon in a helicopter with champagne, stayed in Hugh Hefner’s suite at The Palms, raced Ferraris — it’s an amazing life and I’m so grateful for every experience.”

Despite living the dream life and mixing with celebs and sports stars, Chris remains humble and never forgets where he’s come from.
