On Thursday 1st May, viral virtuoso Zack Grooves and Everything Yes are coming to Liverpool’s Rough Trade, whilst on Friday 9th May, Grammy nominated drumming legend Mark Guiliana is coming to Birkenhead’s FutureYard.

American jazz fusion titans Everything Yes are set to grace Rough Trade on Thursday 1st May. Spearheaded by enigmatic drummer Zack Graybeal, known famously as Zack Grooves on his platforms, the audience are in for a treat from these charismatic and high tempo trailblazers!
The extraordinarily talented 5 piece jazz fusion outfit are widely regarded as being one of the most entertaining live jazz bands in the US, led by Zack Grooves who has gone viral with his drumming prowess. They’ll also be offering a UK-exclusive masterclass before the gig for budding musicians who want to learn!

Friday 9th May sees Grammy nominated drumming legend Mark Guiliana come to FutureYard. Hailed by The New York Times as “a drummer around whom a cult of admiration has formed,” Grammy-nominated drummer and composer Mark Guiliana is celebrated worldwide for his innovative artistry and electrifying performances.
Having collaborated with some of the world’s finest musicians, he appeared on David Bowie’s final album, Blackstar. Whether you’re a seasoned musician, a creative enthusiast, or simply a lover of extraordinary live performances, this is your chance to witness absolute greatness! Mark is also hosting a very special and intimate drumming masterclass before the event — a unique chance to learn from the best!

These two incredible jazz shows, featuring international acts of the highest order, come courtesy of Events 471, who have an exciting programme of events coming up. On Sunday 18th May, they’re bringing timeless icon Dana Gillespie to FutureYard — interviewed by Alan Blakemore, talking about her book Weren’t Born A Man and playing music from her many albums over the decades.
Another big coup for the Wirral based promoters, An Audience With Dana Gillespie is set to be a very special evening indeed. On the night she’ll be telling the story of her life, her acting and music career, her book and her personal and professional relationships with David Bowie and Bob Dylan. Meanwhile there’ll be an art exhibition from Geoff Owens.
