The popular festival, now in its 5th year, has previously been held in Southport but new festival organisers have decided to bring it to the iconic yet eerie Newsham Park Asylum — a former seaman’s hospital, orphanage and asylum. The venue has been a popular alternative choice for events and a huge day is in store with Save The Rave on Saturday 5th July.

A festival spokesperson said: “When taking on the running of the festival we looked at the demographic and most were coming to Southport from Liverpool so we decided to move it to the iconic Newsham Park venue. Save The Rave will have a full festival production, with a huge stage, quality sound system, lasers, CO2 cannons, props, food trucks, bars and everything you’d expect at a huge festival.”
They continued: “In terms of the line up, we’ve gone for all the big hitters with lots of local legends on the line up — it just goes to show what talent we have on Merseyside and how Liverpool is such a big influence on the 90s dance scene. We’re keeping the festival exceptional value too — we know that not everyone can afford to pay hundreds for a festival these days so we’re offering tickets for as little as just £22.50.”
