A young country musician from Liverpool is dreaming of Britney Spears success after overcoming confidence issues and releasing a number of singles. Nicole Nixon is preparing for her fourth release after a storming start to 2025.

Nicole Nixon’s path to becoming a country-pop artist is a testament to the power of dreams and the courage to pursue them, no matter the obstacles. Nicole was drawn to music from a young age, belting out tunes with a Britney Spears headset, imagining herself on a grand stage. However, due to confidence issues she set aside her dreams.
But as she got older, Nicole couldn’t ignore the pull of music. She picked up singing again and started playing the piano to help with her songwriting, a passion she’d had since childhood. During the COVID-19 pandemic, songwriting became her sanctuary. “Her songbook is like a normal person’s diary,” a collection of stories and emotions poured into melodies.

In 2023, Nicole took a leap and released her first single. Her love for country music fuelled her early admiration for Hannah Montana. She recalls being captivated by Rascal Flatts’ acoustic performance in the Hannah Montana movie, which served as her “gateway into real country music.”

Being an independent artist comes with its challenges. “If you don’t love it or want it, it can be too much, and I get why people step back,” she admits, juggling a full-time job and the demands of life. But when doubts creep in, the positive feedback she receives reignites her passion.
Her song, “A Country Song,” embodies the essence of summer drives and the uplifting power of country music. With her debut single, Nicole aimed to introduce herself to the world, highlighting the storytelling aspect of country music.

Having hidden behind songwriting due to a lack of encouragement in the arts during her upbringing, Nicole grappled with confidence issues but is now stepping into her power. She is now looking to kick on and chase her dream of stardom.
Nicole is dedicated to honing her performance skills, recording her performances for self-reflection and feedback. “It’s important to find the balance,” she says, acknowledging the difference between songwriting and performing. “It’s very easy, that if you go wrong a little bit, it will throw you off for the rest of the show, especially if you don’t have the experience behind you.”
