Primal Live is a chance to experience top quality live music from talented emerging artists, whilst being involved in the judging process and helping raise thousands for The Whitechapel Centre. The fun event, now on its third showcase, has raised over £10,000 for the Liverpool homeless so far and has been featured by the BBC, NME and other regional and national news.

This third event is set to be the biggest yet — with 36 artists and bands competing in 6 different heats before a grand final. This first event of 2025 features a diverse range of artists from many different walks of life, including a blind artist and acts from Hong Kong, the U.S, Turkey, Italy and Ukraine, and spanning many genres from rap to rock.

The previous events were an overwhelming success and another lively event at a packed out Camp & Furnace awaits this Easter Sunday from 4pm! With great live music, interactive voting and a charity raffle to win top prizes, it’s one of the events of the year at Camp & Furnace and will once again raise thousands for The Whitechapel Centre and the Liverpool homeless.

Primal Live’s Andy Sampson said: “We’re looking forward to our third event and raising yet more vital funds for the great work of The Whitechapel Centre. The first two events were incredible and such great fun and we’re looking forward to our biggest event yet this Easter Sunday. The talent is unreal and it’s going to be tough for the audience and judges to decide each heat.”

Samantha Sampson added: “The concept has grown massively — with an overwhelming amount of entries from artists, lots of press coverage from local and national press and a Christmas Single that hit the charts. It’s going from strength to strength, with SAE Institute now partners too, and the bigger Primal Live becomes the more money we can raise for charity — not to mention it’s one of the best live music events in the city!”

Previous winners of Primal Live include Ava Fitz, Jordan Francis aka OTB and Sam Leyden — with the latter two going on to join the Primal Live team alongside Finalist JP Cumberlidge. The team also includes Personal Development Mentor Dave Jackson and X Factor Finalist Helen Fulthorpe, who has supported the likes of Jessie J.

Artists who register for Primal Live embark upon a 7 week development programme with industry experts prior to competing in the song contest — a fantastic opportunity and a platform to gain invaluable knowledge and get to the next level.
