Will Edgar first made a name for himself at the age of 14, when he sang for King Charles and Camilla at a charity event in Bolton. After receiving the royal seal of approval, he then entered The Voice Kids UK – reaching the final stages and appearing on national television – and this proved to be his big break.

Receiving praise from judges Danny Jones, Ronan Keating, Pixie Lott and Will I Am, including being compared to Richard Ashcroft, the young musician has since released three singles and an album that’s had over 100k streams on all platforms. He has performed at large scale events and has recently been a finalist at the huge Primal Live song contest in Liverpool, whilst winning a holiday to Universal in Florida in another competition.

His latest claim to fame comes after performing to Simon Cowell and Pete Waterman OBE for a proposed music documentary. The latter, a legendary producer, songwriter and television personality, was blown away by his original song, Trapped In Stone, in which he uses a harmonica, and this prompted him to liken the young star to Bob Dylan.
Will said: “To be compared to one of the greatest songwriters of all time by a leading industry figure is just amazing! Praise doesn’t get much bigger than this! It’s been an unbelievable journey and I’ve achieved a lot in a short space of time. I just want to keep performing at big events and get my music out as far and wide as possible.”

Will Edgar will be performing at Made In Manchester, Darwen Live, Sound City 2026 and hopefully Leeds & Reading festivals. He is also now a mentor at music charity, Rock It, and helps develop and nurture young musicians free of charge. With more music due to be recorded soon too, the future is very bright for the Lancashire Bod Dylan.
Will summarised: “I’m very excited about the future and am really proud of everything I’ve achieved at such a young age. Obviously praise from leading industry figures is a huge boost and very encouraging but I’m not going to let it go too much. I’m just going to focus on performing, getting my music out to as many people as possible and releasing more singles and albums.”
