Justin Hopper
Creative Director
Justin is the Founder and Editor of La Vida Liverpool, who created the positive news concept back in 2018. For over 8 years, Justin ran the big operation singlehandedly — doing the work of a full team and often working morning until midnight. Despite loving this calling in life and making a big difference, he got tired and decided to build a team to take things to the next level (and have a little time off).
Andy Sampson
Operations Director
Andy came on board to help Justin take La Vida Liverpool to the next level and create a media, marketing and PR empire. Andy is a dynamic and successful businessman who has ran global charity boxing and music events that have turned over millions of pounds and raised hundreds of thousands for charities. With Andy’s strategic business mind, La Vida Liverpool’s positive news can now have an even bigger impact.
Samantha Sampson
Office Manager
Thanks to Sam, La Vida now has a back office operation which means that Justin can do what he does best — going out, meeting business owners and working his storytelling magic! Sam is an admin and process whizz, as well as a social media and podcast queen with a vibrant personality!
Matt Evans
Senior Reporter
Matt Evans is a Senior Reporter with 5 years of experience covering breaking news, politics, travel features, restaurant reviews, entertainment, and more.
Matt works with La Vida publications searching for human interest stories that belong in the public domain and need to be told.
Matt holds a first-class bachelor’s degree in Journalism from Kent University. He has a passion for running, cycling, food, drink, and Guinness.
Alec Lawley
Graphic & Web Design
Alec is a digital marketing, web design and graphic design guru who has been working with La Vida for three years now — mostly designing the print magazine and also taking on other graphic design and web design jobs for La Vida clients. Alec is a dream to work with who ‘knows exactly what to do and gets shit done’.

Sophie Mac
Photography & Videography
Sophie is first and foremost an incredible music artist and multi-instrumentalist who has been featured by BBC and Channel 4. Working with Primal Live song contest, she has become a mentor for music artists and has now also crossed over to capturing photography and videography content for artists. She now offers her amazing content services to La Vida’s clients.
