Following the incredible first event in August, It’s All Good In The Hood is back for a Christmas Special! The wonderful project is a collaboration between The Good Hood in West Kirby, Break The Mould CIC, La Vida Liverpool, Positivity Club, Wish Upon A Party and R & J Travel to recognise local children who have been little stars.
The first event was a fantastic success, as over 20 special children were invited to a big party at The Good Hood in West Kirby in celebration of them overcoming adversity, doing good deeds or being little stars. The Christmas ‘Brunch With Santa’ event will do the same and will take place at The Good Hood on Sunday 18th December from 10am until 12pm — suitable for children up to the age of 11 years old.
Once again, the children will get to enjoy quality food and drink at The Good Hood — with festive pancakes to be enjoyed with Santa. There will also be carol singers, party games with Jess from Positivity Club, character visits from Wish Upon A Party and more. All children will receive a party bag from Jess too! Free transport is available from local travel company, R & J Travel.
To nominate a child who deserves this mega free party, people can email Break The Mould CIC — a local organisation who offer sport, activities and education for local children — or send a video to The Good Hood on FACEBOOK. Winners will be children who have overcome adversity, done good deeds or been little stars and people can nominate them by emailing Break The Mould‘s Kris Leigh.
Kris said: “The first event back in August was amazing and the kids loved it! To see the smiles on their faces was priceless, especially considering that some of them have been through a lot. It was a great team effort from all involved so we’re delighted to come together again for this Christmas event.”
The Good Hood owner Richard Fergie said: “Ever since opening The Good Hood in West Kirby, my partner Ellie and I agreed we wanted to give something back and get involved in community projects. This one is a wonderful initiative from a great team of people and we can’t wait to make Christmas that bit more special for kids who have been little stars.”
The first event back in August highlighted some very special children indeed, such as Callum — big brother to Aaron who was born with a rare, life limiting genetic condition. Callum had been very resilient and showed lots of love and care towards his little brother whilst still doing well at school and not letting the difficult family situation deter him.
The second It’s All Good In The Hood event is looking for similar nominations — children who have been little stars or deserve a good party in some way. The party is free for the children to attend and anyone can nominate them by contacting Kris Leigh from Break The Mould CIC.
The Brunch With Santa event is taking place at The Good Hood in West Kirby on Sunday 18th December from 10am until 12pm and will feature festive pancakes to be enjoyed with Santa, carol singers, party games with Jess from Positivity Club, character visits from Wish Upon A Party and all children will receive a party bag from Jess too!
