What’s Shebang about?
A unique concept and the first of its kind in Liverpool, Shebang is a fabulous new restaurant where Calcutta meets Istanbul. Located above Red Dog Saloon on the iconic Bold Street, it offers diners Indian and Turkish dishes that are oozing with flavour and spices — as well as cocktails, lassis and chai teas.

What’s on the menu?
The menu at Shebang will have you salivating — with mouth watering Indian and Turkish dishes to die for! Breakfasts will be coming soon but in the meantime they have small plates such as Hot Butter Chicken and Pao Bhajis and Kati Rolls to start. Charcoal dishes include Tandoori Mustard Prawns, Shish Kebabs and Seekh Kebabs.

Their flavoursome ‘Ruby Murrays’ include curries such as Rajastan Mutton Curry, Old Delhi Butter Chicken and Keralese Fish and if you fancy a bit of everything you can have ‘The Whole Shebang’ platter. In terms of drinks they have a colourful selection of cocktails including Sours, Martinis and other classics, punch bowls, wine, beers, soft drinks, lassis and chai teas.

We chatted with Zsolt Zahorecz, GM of both Red Dog Saloon and Shebang, who said: “Red Dog Saloon has been very popular since opening in 2017 but the upstairs was really only used for private parties. To have a new restaurant concept there now is really exciting and there’s nothing quite like it in the city.”
He continued: “Shebang has gone down a storm in Nottingham so we’re looking forward to introducing it to the people of Liverpool. The official launch has been delayed due to the pandemic but now we’re open and we can’t wait to show people some of these incredible dishes — they really are something else!”

Why we love Shebang….
A welcome addition to Bold Street, Shebang offers something totally different to the Liverpool dining scene — fusing Indian street food and mains with both Indian and Turkish charcoal dishes. We love exciting new places opening and we’re massive fans of Red Dog Saloon, so we love that a sister restaurant has now opened upstairs. As for the menu, we absolutely adore it! A must visit on Bold Street!
