Mains include burgers and fish and chips, all with a Darryn Jones twist, and then on Sundays the people of South Liverpool are in for a real treat with the roasts.

Sunday roasts at 21st Amendment on Penny Lane offer fried chicken, hummus or soup of the day to start. For your main, you can choose lamb, chicken, belly pork, sea bass or nut roast. To finish, there’s either lemon tart, a brownie or a selection of cheeses. As Hoylake diners will tell you, Darryn has Sunday roasts down to a fine art.

I’ve been working very hard over the years, working my way up from dishwasher, and it’s an honour to be recognised and given this opportunity. Darryn’s creations in Hoylake caused that much of a stir, he was featured by The Wirral Globe, The Liverpool Echo, The Chester Standard, Liverpool Community Radio and even international press. After a tough life in South Africa, Darryn settled in the UK and has since excelled as a chef.
