Bootlegger’s (American)
Located on Seabank Road in New Brighton, Bootlegger’s is a seriously special family run cafe and bakery that serves quality American comfort food using the finest ingredients. Offering flavoursome breakfasts, sandwiches, quesadillas, burgers, pizzas, loaded fries, chilli and desserts, these guys have become a huge hit since opening last year and have an incredible reputation.
During lockdown, Bootlegger’s is open 9am-5pm on Weds (takeaway only), 10am-9pm Thurs-Sat (delivery from 5pm) and 10am-5pm on Sun (delivery from 12pm). They’re offering a full menu and keep your eyes out for family feast meal deals. Delivery over £16 is free, with cash or card payments, but currently only to CH44 and CH45 postcodes.

Everest Kitchen (Nepalese)
Situated in the heart of West Derby Village, Everest Kitchen offers the finest Indian and Nepalese cuisine and is a firm favourite of Tony Hadley of Spandau Ballet fame. This highly rated restaurant has an extensive full menu for delivery or collection featuring classic Indian dishes, unique Nepalese specials and something for everyone.
Everest Kitchen is offering delivery or collection from Tuesday to Sunday from 4.30pm until late. They are offering 20% off collection orders and 10% off delivery orders. They offer free delivery for orders over £20 and within 3 miles and a small charge for over 3 miles depending on the order.

Gravity Gin & Relativity Rum (Gin & Rum)
Attention gin lovers! New Brighton based gin company, Gravity Gin, has been creating a cosmic storm since launching just over a year ago and they now supply many venues throughout the region. With flavours such as apple and elderflower, pink gin, colour changing pear and berries and also galactic ginger and cosmic citrus glittery gin, there’s a gin for everyone. They also offer their incredible Relativity Rum!
During lockdown, the guys at Gravity Gin are offering free delivery to any address in the Wirral and for a small charge further afield. The cost of a mini is £5.75, all 4 for £21 or any 5 gins and/or rums mix and match for £26. A 50cl colour changing gin, or 70cl any other gin is £30. A 70cl rum is £33. The No.1 restaurant on Allerton Road, Hope & Smoke, has been a huge hit since opening two years ago. If you’re after Thai food during lockdown, this restaurant offers real quality. Serving colourful and flavoursome Thai dishes of the highest order, Lily’s has gained rave reviews from locals as being one of the finest restaurants around. Lily’s now has a Thai store too — offering premium quality, chef made meal prep dishes and Thai food and ingredients.
As with the previous lockdown, Lily’s collection only service is already proving to be hugely popular and pre-booking is essential as they often have to turn people away. Silk Road (International Cuisine)
Silk Road, based on Telegraph Road in Heswall, offers mouth watering cuisine from around the world. Their food is prepared fresh to order and their varied menu features tapas dishes such as Chicken Wings, Sticky Ribs and Patatas Katsu, whereas their mains feature dishes such as Malaysian Steak, Persian Lamb and Seabass Choo Chee. They also offer wok dishes, baos, pizzettes, delicious desserts, cocktails, quality wine, cocktails, sangria and beers.
During lockdown, Silk Road is proving to be a huge hit and is open every day except Thursdays. Collection is available from 12pm and delivery within 3 miles from 5pm. They open earlier at 10am at weekends for breakfast and brunch. There are some fantastic offers such as 40% off Mon-Weds (NOV40 code) and 30% off Sun (NOV30 code) and the full menu and booking system can be found on their website. The Bow Legged Beagle (Beer)
With venues in New Brighton, Upton and Bromborough, The Bow Legged Beagle offers an extensive and constantly revolving range of beers, stouts and cask ales — with all sorts of quirky drinking options, from chocolate stouts and porters to pale ales to mango cider. If you’re bored and fancy something different to drink during lockdown, these guys are simply the best!
During the last lockdown, The Bow Legged Beagle had queues around the corner outside their three Wirral pubs during collection days. All three are offering the same as last time during lockdown — quality quirky beers to take away between 3pm and 7pm on Wednesday, Friday or Saturday.
