Caernarvon Castle (Prenton)

Bidston Road’s huge pub is currently rated the No.1 place to eat in Prenton on Trip Advisor and isn’t short of big screens all around the pub. With quality live music, great value food and drink and a huge outside area, it’s one of Wirral’s grandest and most popular pubs.

Farmer’s Arms (Moreton)

Located in the heart of Moreton, by Moreton Cross, Farmer’s Arms is always chocka for live football! A firm favourite amongst many locals and a pub at the heart of the community, there’s all sorts going on from free pool nights to poker nights. With a great beer garden and play area and incredible value food and drink, there’s something for everyone in this lively local.

Harvest Mouse (Heswall)

Pensby Road’s iconic pub with a windmill attached to it has a cracking interior — well designed with stylish decor. With insanely good offers on wings, ribs, steaks and American comfort food and great drinks offers, it’s one of the most popular pubs in the area. King’s Arms (Bebington)

Lighthouse Inn (Wallasey Village)

Located in Wallasey Village and open 7 days a week, Lighthouse Inn is the place to be for live music in Wallasey Village. The huge pub has many big screens and HD televisions, with quality food and drink to enjoy watching the match, and the service is always top notch. Molly’s Chambers (Birkenhead)

Wirral’s No.1 live music venue, Molly’s Chambers, is open Weds and Thurs from 4pm and Fri, Sat and Sun from 12pm. In addition to having top quality live music and tribute acts, they’ll also be showing live football matches both in the outside shed and basement bar. Red Cat (Greasby)

With few places to choose from in Greasby, Red Cat in the heart of the village has cemented itself as the place to be for live sport and amazing value food and drink. A spacious pub that has a great atmosphere on match days, they also have a gorgeous hidden gem of a beer garden for bevvies in the sun after the footy.

Shrewsbury Arms (Oxton)

Shrewsbury Arms (or The Shrew to locals) has a really cosy and homely interior and a gorgeous little beer garden to the rear. The Bridge Inn (Port Sunlight)

The Grange (Moreton)

Situated on Hoylake Road, the huge Wirral pub is a hub of live music and sport. At the weekends you can enjoy some of the best live music acts around and they have big screens all around the pub for live football. There are drinks and themed food offers throughout the week and Landladies Natasha Champion and Rachel Davies have put it back on the map as one of the best live entertainment venues in the Wirral.

The Mersey Clipper (Prenton)

Prenton Road West’s legendary sports orientated pub is open 7 days a week and is also currently ranked 31st out of 259 places to eat in Wirral on Trip Advisor. Located just around the corner from Prenton Park, The Mersey Clipper is one for the football fans and you’ll often find it chocka during live sport events. The Nelson (Wallasey)

The Railway (Meols)

If you live in Meols, there’s only one place you’re heading to watch the footy! The Railway Inn is a huge pub with big screens and HD TVs everywhere — and you can count on it being booming with a cracking atmosphere during big games. The legendary pub was made even more iconic the other year, when an old Viking ship was found buried underneath it, nut if you’re looking to feast and drink like a Viking then check out their food and drink offers!

The Ship (Hoylake)

Ever since taking over last year, owners Loz and Vic have put The Ship firmly back on the map as the place to be for live entertainment in Hoylake. With the new ‘Ship Yard’ in their large car park, they have a big stage for live football and live music, loads of tables, an outside bar and a food van. With a hidden gem of a beer garden to the rear and loads going on, The Ship is Hoylake’s go to destination (sister venue, The Lake, is also highly recommended). Some top gigs coming up here too including Mark Burgess and Ben Ottewell from Gomez!
