An Evening With Alan Kennedy is taking place at The Venue By White in Moreton on Saturday 8th February in order to help fund New Brighton Victoria FC’s Holland Tour in 2025. The very special night is a must for football fans, particularly Reds, and will help the local junior club achieve their dream of playing in Europe.
The night of nostalgia will feature a talk from the Liverpool legend himself, a Q&A, compering from In Demand Decades presenter Graeme White and top quality live entertainment. Tickets are just £20 and all profits will help fund the junior club’s tournament in Holland in April — whilst there’ll also be a raffle and auction to win top prizes and football memorabilia.
On the night, Liverpool legend Alan Kennedy will provide anecdotes and fascinating insights into his illustrious career — including scoring the winning goal in 1981 European Cup Final against Real Madrid and the nerve-wracking winning penalty against AS Roma in 1984! When it comes to Liverpool greats, Alan Kennedy is right up there as one of the best.
The very special night will help New Brighton Victoria FC’s Under 11s have an experience of a lifetime by playing in Holland this April. The young boys will be competing in a tournament against some talented teams from Europe on their adventure, whilst visiting a new country and creating some unforgettable moments together.
New Brighton Victoria FC’s Chairman Chris Guy said: “It’s going to be a wonderful night of football nostalgia and live entertainment — a must for football fans whilst raising money to create unforgettable memories for these young lads. The boys are a great bunch and have a wonderful attitude — they work so hard and really deserve this experience so it will be amazing if we can make this dream of theirs a reality!”
New Brighton Victoria FC’s junior players are as deserving as any junior club to go on this incredible trip. The social values football club is built around a positive ethos and code of ethics and the club does a great deal to help charitable causes — raising almost £5,000 for the likes of Wirral Wise Guys, Young Lives V Cancer, CICRA and Charlotte’s Brightside. Now is the time to help them.
Chris Guy said: “We’ve created a very special club here that’s built around social values and encouraging positive mental health and a strong community ethos. Going into our second season we now have two Under 11s teams and an Under 8s team and we’re growing all the time — all the boys buy into our ethos which is wonderful.”
He continued: “As well as adhering to an inclusive and kind code of conduct both on and off the pitch, the boys have done so much great work in the community and helped many vital causes. We’re wanting to reward them with this very special trip to Holland for this football tournament so please come along to this top night of football and help the lads at the same time!”
