Merseyside Academy of Drama, or MAD for short, can be found at The Hope Street Theatre Collective — a creative community on Hope Street. Part of The Hope Street Theatre Collective, MAD offers various courses including acting for beginners, intermediate acting, advanced acting, improvisation, acting for camera, musical theatre, playwriting and writing for screen.

The various 10 week courses (next ones starting 16th September) are extremely good value for money and have changed people’s lives — whether that be through turning them into actors or through breaking down their confidence barriers. MAD is all about inclusivity and allowing people to ‘give it a go’ — ordinary people doing extraordinary things on stage following expert training.
