Following the overwhelming success of the recent beer festival at The Magazine Hotel in New Brighton, a cider and spirits festival is taking place from Friday 30th August to Sunday 1st September. In this feature we reveal what will be on offer this time at ‘The Mags’ and what to expect….

This time around, New Brighton’s iconic pub situated on the banks of the Mersey will showcase an interesting variety of ciders, fruit ciders, Perries and Scrumpies, alongside speciality gins, rums and vodkas. Once again, the festival is free to attend and will feature street food from the hugely popular Karma Indian Food.

The Magazine Hotel have won awards for their knowledge and expertise as regards drinks, so you can expect to sample the very best ciders and spirits around. At the last festival, Karma Indian Food took it by storm with some delightful tandoori wings, bhajis and curries, and you can expect a similar mouthwatering offering this time.

The festival begins on the Friday evening and runs all weekend until Sunday night, with live acoustic music from the lovely Lucy Mayhew on the Saturday night. With free entry again, it’s set to be another top event — with guests able to enjoy views over to Liverpool and a weekend of fun in the sun in the beer garden.
