This mix is provided by Giggio C.
The latest feature in the La Vida Liverpool In The Mix series offers something a bit different. DJ Giggio C — originally from Naples, long term resident of Liverpool and currently residing in London — has produced a special mix for us. Giggio, returning to his second home of Liverpool for his birthday this weekend, has put together a tribute to his favourite DJ, Claptone. This mix is a masterful medley of Claptone’s floor filling big hitters and for anyone into their house/techno, this is a must listen!
As a DJ, Giggio started on vinyls at an early age — influenced by the likes of Masters At Work, Frankie Knuckles and Roger Sanchez — and soon became involved in the house and techno scene of Naples, Italy. Giggio moved to the UK at the age of 18 and started to DJ in London, then Glasgow before moving to Liverpool. In Liverpool he founded No Label Project with Lishai Rice — a charitable events brand — and although he’s moved to London for work he regularly returns to Liverpool for house and techno events, and of course his birthday this weekend.
