Attention all movie buffs! A new Liverpool based movie podcast has emerged! Ready Steady Remake is the creation of movie geeks Rachel Thompson, Richard Kelly and Adam Taylor — the same team that provides movie reviews on Radio City Talk’s drive time show every Tuesday at 5pm. In the podcast series, the trio review classic movies, providing interesting facts, analysis and fun chat about the selected movie each time. They then take turns to remake the movie in question — changing the cast and genre — all competing to be the best remake.
The new concept has so far focussed on popular movies such as Titanic, Rocky and Alien and the fun shows also feature competitions and special guests. In the Titanic episode, they welcome actor Liam Tuohy from Los Angeles who starred in the movie and worked with Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio. In the Rocky episode they have local Liverpool Boxing and UFC journalist, Nick Peet, giving his expertise and in the Alien episode they welcome science expert and astro physicist Ben Cosgrove.
