A student doctor from Wirral has created a ground breaking new science based skin care brand.
Jade Trapanotto created Beyond Skin UK whilst studying skin conditions of people of colour, following a troubled life of acne and skin pigmentations. Jade’s story began when she was 15 years old and suffered from acne — leading to her covering up her ’embarrassing’ blemishes with make up and toxic products. Now a student of medicine, a phlebotomist and aesthetics specialist, Jade has created Beyond Skin UK to bring a science backed solution to the beauty and aesthetics world.
Jade explained: “As a teenager acne was a major issue for me and as I grew older, pigmentation and blemishes on my skin made me even more self conscious. I remember reaching out for solutions, only to find them in products full of toxic chemicals — masking myself in make up that made my skin condition even worse.”

Passionate about skin care from an early age, Jade set up Beyond Skin UK in 2012 — training in phlebotomy, PRF, micro-needling, micro-blading, chemical peels, fat dissolving and other aesthetic practises. After suffering from skin conditions herself, with few solutions or support for people of colour, she made it her mission to help as many people as possible with skin conditions and those wanting anti ageing treatments.

Jade became one of the UK pioneers of PRF (Platelet Rich Fibrin), a 100% organic treatment that uses the natural blood plasma of a person to regenerate their cells and reduce anti ageing. She worked on Harley Street and helped countless clients, with profound results, but then went on to study medicine at the University of Liverpool — perhaps discovering her best solution yet.
Jade explained: “I have a thirst for knowledge and a passion to help people but setting up an aesthetics brand was only the beginning for me. I decided to study to become a doctor and one of the projects was a Dragon’s Den style task — to create something ground breaking. Our team came up with an app that diagnosed skin disorders for people with coloured skin and although we came second it got me thinking.”

Following that university project, Jade decided to combine her personal experience of skin conditions, her advanced aesthetics training and the clinical data from her studies to create something ground breaking.
