Pellowah can be described as ‘the best healing modality you’ve never heard of’ and is a lesser known energy healing technique first taught in 2003 by Founder and Channel: Australian spiritual teacher Kachina Ma’an. It is said to connect and activate 12 strand DNA and bring about a shift in consciousness. Some recipients speak of outer body experiences — travelling through dimensions and receiving profound insights.

Pellowah energy healing works specifically with an individual in connection with their higher consciousness to remove blockages, shift consciousness and bring about lasting positive change. It is delivered both in person and from a distance, with the vast majority of sessions being done distantly.
Whereas some may be sceptical, the practice has exploded internationally, with around 8,000 practitioners globally and over 500 in the UK & Ireland since it was introduced here in 2018 by Julie Parker.

There are also hundreds of teachers globally and 12 active teachers in the UK, who facilitate the Pellowah Level I and II workshop, which qualifies participants to deliver Pellowah sessions. One of these UK teachers is Anne Lloyd, who founded Pellowah Healing Liverpool in 2019 and has delivered the healing to many people whilst teaching 14 students how to become a practitioner.

Anne told me: “Pellowah, meaning ‘a radical shift in consciousness’, operates on various levels, delving into the body’s meridians and the chakra system. Through this energy modality, it is possible to attain relaxation, calmness, clarity, expanded intuition and profound change. The transformative effects extend to DNA activation, aligning our consciousness with the evolving world around us.”

After hearing about some of the profound experiences and testimonials from others, I decided to give it a go myself — how on earth could I write about this without experiencing the energy healing first hand? When I was told that it would be from a distance, with me lying on my bed at home in the dark and Anne miles away, I must admit I was as sceptical as I was intrigued.

My first Pellowah energy healing happened on a Wednesday night. Anne gave me the instructions to lie on my bed in darkness and with no distractions — I’ll be honest it felt pretty weird and I was wondering what she was doing, miles away from me. Then, around 10 minutes into it, things got really weird! I could feel sensations within me and could hear a strange whirring, pulsating sound — like another frequency.
This feeling continued and I could feel things happening in my stomach, which had been sore that day (suspected gluten intolerance). I eventually drifted off to sleep and that night I had the craziest lucid dreams — about being in a room that was another dimension and wild beast like creatures. My dreams were powerful and felt like I was having outer body experiences.

The next morning I was totally wiped, despite sleeping for almost 12 hours, but the following days resulted in lots of clarity and exciting business developments happened for me. I don’t know what it did to me but something powerful definitely happened! Strangely, I was feeling run down with a wheezy chest when I lay down for the treatment, but this onset of illness completely disappeared afterwards.

Fascinated by this experience, I asked Anne for another treatment — now knowing what Pellowah was. The second time was much more physical. This time with Anne working in person, as her energy work kicked in I could feel strange movements within my head and body. It was almost as if energy was moving within my forehead and stomach — bizarre sensations I’d never felt before!
Again, I drifted off towards the end of the treatment and felt pretty wiped afterwards. After more wild and vivid dreams that night and a 12 hour sleep, I went about my usual busy days and had a few business meetings the next couple of days. Whether this is anything to do with Pellowah, I am unsure, but a few people were compelled to project their life stories onto me for hours and people seemed drawn to me.

Anne told me following the experiences: “Whether I am working in person or from a distance, the Pellowah energy uses me as an instrument to achieve what is necessary to bring about the change agreed between the higher consciousness of the recipient and Pellowah. Some experience profound shifts after one session, other may be called to explore further, guided by their evolving needs and inner wisdom.”

For me, there are three types of people — those who believe, those who are open to the possibilities and those who will never believe something unless they can physically see it as concrete. I am definitely one who is open to any possibility in this realm and truly believe in energy forces.
What I can say is I know what I experienced through Pellowah and things definitely happened within me. There have been big shifts and things happen for me in my life since — such as meeting my new business partner days later and going on to form a new super agency, Sound Media, that this magazine is now part of.

Pellowah Healing Liverpool provides workshops in Liverpool, Wirral, and North Wales. Workshops, for up to 10 participants, are flexible and for an immersive experience a full 3-night residential retreat is also available. Following the workshops, participants gain admission to a growing Facebook support group, fostering a community where stories are shared, questions are answered, and personal growth thrives.
Anne summarised: “Pellowah is growing in popularity and I offer treatments for £40 or two day workshops to become a practitioner. People say it’s ‘the best healing modality that you’ve never heard of’ but the way it’s growing it could become as well known as reiki. Everything is energy and people are becoming more open to alternative healing methods — but you need to be open to receive it of course.”
