Located in the heart of Liverpool, Alcotraz ‘The Yard’ is completely free to enter, with just a reservation needed in advance. Drinks and light food options will be able to be purchased using tokens in the prison’s currency – contraband cigarettes. The venue can accommodate small and large groups for public experiences or private venue hire.
Serving an innovative drinks menu within a movie-like setting, Alcotraz ‘The Yard’ is a unique drinking experience where the guests become part of the story. For those who have been to Alcotraz before, ‘The Yard’ promises to offer something completely different, offering visitors the chance to explore this unseen outdoor area and experience even more of the story.

The pioneering immersive cocktail experience is created by Inventive Productions, the UK’s leading immersive hospitality group. Like other Inventive Productions shows, such as the Wild West inspired ‘Moonshine Saloon’ in Liverpool and the out-of-this–world ‘Avora’ in London, Alcotraz brings to life a fictional world.
With subtle references to cult American entertainment, such as, Prison Break, Orange is the New Black and Shawshank Redemption guests have the opportunity to experience a fictitious narrative unfold around them which they would only normally see on TV or cinema screens.
