Daniel and his young family moved to Wirral from Sri Lanka in 2022 and Daniel practises massage whilst his wife studies to be a nurse. Daniel explained: “When we first moved to Moreton we weren’t financially settled as my wife started studying to become a registered nurse here. We joined the church and people were so kind and supportive, we instantly felt at home. For our first Christmas we couldn’t afford any presents for our children, but our neighbour Jacky brought us an endless amount of presents for them. It was unbelievable!”

Daniel continued: “I posted in local Facebook groups to say how grateful we are to the local community — the people here are really so very special and have made us feel at home. Daniel said: “When I was a child in Sri Lanka, I used to give my mother massages and I was so good at it that she made me give her them regularly. I actually became a pharmacist back home but after she passed away I thought about what I did for her and so decided to develop my skills in a professional way — qualifying in sports massage and ayurvedic massage.”
